HELP
Cootamundra High School operates a canteen to provide snacks and meals to students at recess and lunch. The canteen is operated by the Parents and Citizens Association (P&C), which reinvests the money raised by the canteen into the school. In the past, the P&C has been able to purchase new curtains for the school hall, outdoor furniture for the playground, thousands of dollars worth of new equipment for the Industrial Arts faculty and a professional coffee machine for Food and Beverage training.
The canteen is an important source of funding for ensuring the ongoing quality education of your child. To keep the canteen running, we need volunteers. Volunteers are typically rostered on just one day every four weeks. The rostered times for volunteers in the canteen are 10am to 12pm and/or 12pm to 2pm on school days. If you only have enough time to complete a smaller shift, being rostered on from 11am to 11:30am or 12:40pm to 1:10pm is also most welcome.
Every little bit helps to ensure that the canteen continues to provide quality nutrition for your child and sustainable funding for the school – funding that parents and citizens decide how to spend on their school. We would greatly appreciate your commitment to providing your time as a parent/guardian of a student at Cootamundra High School.
